A distribution transformer is a transformer that provides the final voltage transformation in the electric power distribution system, stepping down the voltage used in the distribution lines to the level used by the customer. In power distribution system, distribution transformer voltage ratings usually designed less than 200KVA.
A distribution transformer usually can be classified into different categories based on factors such as:
1. Mounting location – pole, pad, underground vault

2.Type of insulation – liquid-immersed or dry-type
